2022: Additional benefits for Hamacher employees

Our guiding principle is: We want to attract and retain good employees. That is why we take various steps to increase our attractiveness as an employer. In addition to the salary, Hamacher offers an employer-financed company pension plan. 2020: Expansion in the area of warehouse logistics

Over the past few years, Hamacher has purchased additional areas of land near the company’s headquarters, thus expanding the catchment area for the warehouse logistics sector.

As a logical consequence, Hamacher Transporte opened its new distribution centre in January 2020 after a 10-month construction phase. This means that additional storage space for up to 30,000 pallets is now available.

2006: Third Generation – Andreas Hamacher becomes General Manager

Andreas Hamacher, son of Walter Hamacher, has undergone rigorous education both in Germany and abroad (i.a. USA) within the logistics service provider sector. Moreover, he is a graduate of the reputable Deutschen Außenhandels- und Verkehrsakademie (German Academy of Foreign Trade and Transport). His profound level of knowledge of the business niche Hamacher Transporte is operating in, has become a major asset to the firm.

1989: Acquisition of „Dürener Speditionsgesellschaft LLC“

Dürener Spedition LLC was founded in 1932 by three entrepreneurs named Bauer, Schwaertzel and Weyrauch. After the war it became one of the most competitive logistics service providers in the region. It had established close ties to Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Railway Company), hence offering proficient transportation services via railway. Walter Hamacher acquired Dürener Spedition LLC in 1989.

We have outstanding specialists in the areas of logistics and IT, as well as specially trained staff in warehousing. Continuous training of our drivers ensures optimum safety during transport and loading.

Invest in new employees and technologies

We invest in the training of young people. At least two trainees in the commercial sector are learning to deal with the everyday challenges of the day-to-day business of everyday logistics life.

Through the use of the latest technologies, we are actively promoting environmental protection and resource conservation, e.g. by combining the transport requirements of new and old paper or the tour optimization by means of GPS-controlled transport management systems.
